Washington Wizards two-way player Jules Bernard was named G League Player of the Week for the week of February 5 – February 11.

Bernard averaged 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting .667 from the field and .909 from the free throw line during the week. His performances helped the Go-Go secure back-to-back wins at home on February 6 and February 8 against the Western Conference second seed Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Bernard is the second Go-Go player to earn the award this season after Jared Butler was named Player of the Week for the first week of the regular season.

Bernard’s 26.5 points per game ranked eighth in the G League for the week and his .667 field goal percentage was the fourth-most in the league among those who averaged at least 20 points per game. He had the highest plus-minus stat in the league, averaging 27.5 for the week. Additionally, his 8.5 rebounds per game were also the fourth-most among guards last week.

With Joel Embiid no longer eligible to win 23-24 NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic has emerged as the new leader in ESPN's latest straw poll ahead of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jokic received 69 first place votes, 25 second, three third and three fourth to log 889 points.

Gilgeous-Alexander had 24 first place votes, 54 second, 16 third, three fourth and two fifth to have 709 points.

Antetokounmpo is a distant third followed by Luka Doncic and Kawhi Leonard. 

Jokic won the award in 2021 and 2022 while finishing second behind Embiid last season.

Donovan Mitchell and Luka Doncic have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for  Week 16.

Mitchell averaged 27.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers went 4-0.

Doncic led the Dallas Mavericks to a 4-0 week with averages of 31.3 points (.513 FG%, .442 3FG%), 10.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 37.5 minutes per game.

Kawhi Leonard and Trae Young have been named the NBA's Players of Week 15.

Leonard averaged 29.8 points and 8.0 rebounds on 56.6 percent shooting as the Los Angeles Clippers went 3-1.

Young averaged 31.0 points and 11.3 assists while shooting 64.5 percent on three-pointers as the Atlanta Hawks went 3-0.

Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for January.

Wembanyama averaged 24.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in January.

Miller averaged 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Charlotte Hornets.

Donovan Mitchell and Devin Booker have been named the NBA's Players of the Month for January.

Booker averaged 30.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists as the Phoenix Suns went 11-5.

Mitchell averaged 28.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.6 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers went 11-2.
