The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived two-way player Tyler Davis.
The center saw action in 15 games (eight starts) with the Oklahoma City Blue and averaged 17.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.87 blocks in 26.7 minutes per game.
Davis appeared in one game with the Thunder.
The Memphis Grizzlies are expected to sign Austin Rivers once he is bought out by the Phoenix Suns.
Rivers was traded last week by the Washington Wizards to the Suns.
Rivers is receiving interest from four to five other teams as there has yet to be a formal offer from the Grizzlies.
The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a buyout with Austin Rivers.
Rivers was earning $12.6 million in the final season of his deal and was traded by the Washington Wizards to the Suns last week.
The Suns decided Rivers fits better on an older team pursuing a playoff spot.
The Houston Rockets have waived forward/center Zhou Qi.
Zhou Qi (7-1, 210) was the 43rd overall pick by Houston in the 2016 NBA Draft. He joined the Rockets in 2017-18 and had a career-high 4 blocks in the season finale at Sacramento. Zhou Qi spent the majority of the past two seasons playing for the Rockets single-affiliation G League partner Rio Grande Valley with career averages of 11.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks while shooting 51.3% from the floor.
In 2016-17, Zhou Qi led the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association to their first ever championship and was named Defensive Player of the Year. Zhou Qi is also a member of the Chinese Senior National Team and competed in the 2016 Olympics.
The Houston Rockets have waived Danuel House.
House played 12 minutes in a loss at the Wolves on Monday.
House averaged 8.4 points per game on 39.4 percent shooting in his five games with the Rockets.
The Rockets are likely making the move to create a roster spot.
“I like Danuel a lot,” Mike D’Antoni said. “He’s very athletic. He’s a bigger three (or) four that we can use. He runs the floor, not afraid of the moment. He belongs in the NBA.”
