San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama was fined $25,000 for throwing the ball into the stands at the conclusion of Friday's game. Wembanyama and the Spurs defeated the New York Knicks in overtime and the rookie center threw the ball into the stands in celebration of the victory.

Wembanyama had 40 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in leading the Spurs to the upset victory. The 40 points set a new career-high for the Spurs rookie, while the 20 rebounds tied his career-best. Jalen Brunson scored a career-high 61 points for the Knicks in the loss.

Nick Nurse has been fined $50,000 for aggressively pursuing and verbally abusing game officials, and Kelly Oubre Jr. has been fined $50,000 for verbally abusing and directing an obscene gesture toward game officials.

The incident occurred at the conclusion of the 76ers’ 108-107 loss to the LA Clippers on March 27 at Wells Fargo Center.

The NBA announced they have fined Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert $100,000 for inappropriate gestures towards game officials. During the Timberwolves loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Gobert made the "money" gesture to the officials after fouling out of the game. Gobert received a technical foul for the gestures and complaints towards the officials.

The league said Gobert's past history of criticizing game officials factored into the size of the fine.
